Burn More Fat with Morning Yoga

Early Bird Yoga to Burn More Fat

Wouldn’t it be ideal if you could burn more fat according to when you schedule your yoga practice?  Well, many research studies have discovered that early morning is the best time to workout to burn more fat.  The problem is that there are also research studies that have resulted in just the opposite finding.  So, here are my thoughts on the matter which include my many years of experience in keeping consistently fit.

Burn Fat, Increase Energy and Nutritional Choices

For over 30 years I have been keeping active on a regular basis.  In chunks of years, I have had to switch my routine in order to accommodate my life, my career and my family.  My experience proves that the early morning is optimal for many reasons.  The main reason, for me, is that it gets done first and foremost.  There’s nothing happening to alter your schedule and thus get in the way of the early evening workouts.  Early morning fitness allows you to get the routine completed and enter the work day full of energy and vigor.

Along with the energy, the nutritional choices will follow suite as you go through the day with this energy and feeling of accomplishment, you won’t want to ruin the work you just did by making the wrong nutritional choices.  It’s also rumored to provide better and deeper sleep and who would turn their nose at that?  By working out n the morning, before you’ve eaten, your body is forced to utilize its fat stores for energy.  You’re also “burning fat,” which is awesome.

Why a Morning Workout

Now, I have also worked out and practiced yoga in the early evenings.  I had a good run at this for a little over a year when my kids were getting home late from their team practices and dinner was scheduled a little later.  This worked good until it just didn’t.  Somewhere along the line, things throughout the day started popping up and altered my schedule.

I’ve always been more successful with my fitness goals when I make it first and schedule it before work.  If I fall off the early morning wagon for whatever reason, it’s always hard in the beginning when that alarm goes off.  But the routine becomes normal and it feels great to know that whatever life throws at me during the day, health and fitness came first.

Here is an article from Dr. Oz that talks about the benefits of a morning workout.
